Ok--So I know that I have not been posting very often, mostly because I was just feeling lazy, but lately I have not been feeling so well. My body is once again working against me. I have been having this horrible pain in my abdomen, and my doctor has been trying to order tests to see what the heck is wrong with me. At first he thought that maybe I had some gallstones in my bile ducts-even though I no longer have a gallbladder....I had an ultrasound and that did not shed any light everything looked perfectly normal. UGH! Of course! Then I was sent to the G.I. doctor, I was not looking forward to that-considering I did not know what they wanted to do to me...scary. Well-on Monday night after dinner my horrible pain came back, except it didn't go away after 30 mins as usual. I took a pain pill thinking it would help...no, it didn't. TWO hours later still suffering and crying like a baby, i might add, i took another pain pill thinking that 2 will do the job...not even close! I wasn't even a little loopy! boo! So-I was in pain all night, the next morning I called my doc & they told me to call the G.I. and get me in that day (Tuesday). Luckily, they had one emergency opening. They did blood work and scheduled me to have my stomach scoped the following day. He thought I had an ulcer. So Wednesday-Russ drives me there b/c I'm going to be sedated, my stomach looks great (go figure), but he as the results back from my blood tests....I have acute pancreatitis. Not fun! For those of you who have no idea what that is or does to you--It's extremely painfully, usually you're in pain for days when you have an attack & you should avoid all food & water, b/c that makes it worse!! When inflamed, the pancreas releases enzymes in you stomach when you eat of drink & that hurts! Not what it's supposed to do.
Now I have to get a special ultrasound, where they put another scope down my throat & check me out from the inside... that's scheduled for the 29th, and then I'll probably have surgery sometime there after...
Anyone want to be me for a day??
For now I am ok-still hurting...but at least I'm not on a liquid diet anymore. Hopefully I'll be ok. If I do have another attack, I'll probably have to put in the hospital for a few days. I'll need to have fluids put in my veins & just lots & lots of pain meds to help with the pain...

I am so sorry! I have major pain attacks too (undiagnosed) and I really feel for you. Good Luck!
Melissa! I cannot beleive that the pain is back!! I was sure when your gall bladder was taken that was it. You poor thing. You thought you were done with all of that. I am SO Sorry!! I remember how bad it was. Is it that same pain just liek you had before? Hope your doing ok. I will be praying for you! Tell Russ to treat you extra special!
Eww, that does not sound like fun at all. Hopefully the doctors can take care of it quickly, and you'll start feeling better soon.
Oh my gosh, that sounds awful! I am so sorry. It is definitely not convenient to be a mom and have that kind of pain!! That sounds way worse than kidney stones. I hope they fix you up good so you don't have any more pain.
Oh Melly, I'm so sorry! Thanks for the birthday call tonight. I really hope you start feeling better soon and they your docs can find the best course of action. Keep me posted!
Yikes! I hope you can get everything cleared up for good really soon!
